Soluvlies from the German company Freudenberg is a water soluble non-woven with multiple applications.You can use it as an embroidery backing, made with any type of machine.After creating the embroidery design, the Soluvlies backing dissolves completely in cold water. In the attached video you can follow the process.The resulting pattern is ironed at low temperatures and without steam.It can be applied to almost all fabrics, but before applying to the final piece it is advisable to make a sample.It can be used for creative patchwork, collage.Apply the ''sandwich'' process - place a layer of Soluvlies on a flat surface and then apply the materials (fabric scraps, strips, knitting yarns, embroidery, embroidery, string, etc.) on top, which are then covered with another layer of Soluvlies. The panel is shaped as desired, then sewn with a zig-zag stitch and the scraps are removed. The whole set of materials is machine sewn (quilted) and then placed in water to remove the Soluvlies.
